Gallery-Ready is a term used to describe artwork that is appropriately prepared to be received by an art gallery. The following is list of guidelines and requirements that must be met before artwork can be accepted into Eilandarts Gallery.
Gallery Ready Guidelines Gallery-ready artwork should meet the following guidelines:
Your painting/artwork must be completely dry.
All framed items, as well as unframed stretched canvases, MUST have appropriate hanging or display materials on the back.
Use D-rings for hanging wires or French cleats. Sawtooth hangers are not compatible with our system.
Position the D-rings 1/3 down from the top of the frame, ensuring that the center point where the hanging wire hooks is at least 2 inches. The wire should not be visible from the front (please test at home to ensure proper hanging).
Please label the back of the artwork to indicate which direction is up.
Include a label on the back of the piece with the following information: name, title, media, and price (this should match the information provided in your application).
Drop off your artwork on time! We operate on a tight schedule.
